Quentin Wilson don't like Sportraks

Forum:

Former Top Gear and now C5 slimeball Wilson has posted some trying-to-be-funny comments about the Sportrak on the 4Car website (see link.) Coming from a bloke who was once convicted of spinning back the speedos on cars he was trying to flog, You neednt worry too much of what his opinion is.

Got to remember that their take on driving is different from ours .... they are just boy racers who don't have to look after their vehicles as I /( we Unknw ) do. They get given a vehicle to tool around in for a while and hopefully get the manufacturers some media presence.

They are more worried about 0 to 60 and if the vehicle has a posy hanger for the rep's jacket. I'm more worried about the fact I can keep it going for a reasonable lifetime without doing too much work on it and without having to spend too much on parts.

Having been forced to take apart my 4trak by an mot blowup, and having found so little wear in the engine, I'm hooked. I can get underneath to keep the chassis rust-free and waxoyl the bodywork. The engine is plenty quick enough to get speeding tickets, so I don't need anything more there. The vehicle has enough grunt to shift boats (no I don't dunk the arse in the saltwater, but use a rope) and has towed a 4.5 ton ferret armoured car (naughty) before now !

He never likes cars I like

Every car i've driven and liked. I have later found out he hasn't liked it at all. So I think he must check to see if I like it before he writes the article. Laughing out loud

Quentin wilson, With a name like his how can he comment....

All I can say is, last weekend I drove a Landrover Trials event in my Sportrak. I could because I was an event official and was helping "set-out" the trails sections, I drove everything the Landrovers did Yes I now am looking at lifting the suspension by an inch and yes I have big All terrain tyres but on the mud section (which was a 6 foot deep 10 foot wide drainage ditch) Somehow I got further than a few V8 landrovers with mud tyres (mainly due to good driving LOL). Then drove home throughly covered in mud overtaking Landrovers all the way and also past a few broken down ons aswell. Only damage to report the my sportrak is a pranged sill hence the need for a suspension lift.

Oh and does anyone know I could fit a snorkel to my Sporty
