Engine Misfiring?????

Hi,

please could someone help if they have experienced any silmular problems!!!

I have a 1997 sprortrak 1.6i, every cold morning when i start it, rev's fine, as soon as i start to drive the engine feels like its mis-firing and flat spots untill it reach's normal temp then its like it never had a problem drives perfect?

Could this be timing issues,engine temp sensor or the choke ????

Most likely the temperature sensor. When it is defective it puts a constant default value in, instead of a variable one, this ensures the vehicle works while warm. When starting and cool it can create these problems as the default value is biased towards efficiency.
