hi im doing a spring over axle on my fourtrak i have done the back i only have to do the frount now but in not shore about wellding the prench onto the diff houseing as it apears to be cast just want to know the best way around this thanks.

tons of stuff on forum about soa, people seem to get away with welding to the diff perch, its cast steel, it will weld, but you want to do your welding in small bursts and let it cool, however dont do weld on diff gaurds as they dont work so well. Anyway, the steering is your issue, most people just bend the tie rod, but the correct way is to create a high steer, if you want i can give you a link for some real in depth soa rocky pictures i got that are tried n tested, but the high steer is very 'mcguyver'.

if you could send me the link plesea, that would help im tould u dont need a prop shalf spacer for the front i have put one on the back but thers know way that the front will go togever with out one do you think if i turn round the springs so the back of the spring is at the fornt will push the axle back is there any reason that i should not do this.

reversal of the spring is something someone else must answer who has had a go.Its not something i would entertain.

revrse was me being silly the prop shaft slids but was stuck but is free now so all meets up with the wellding would tig be the best on the cast sorry about all this i just want to get it right thanks for the link mate.
