Can anyone help with the correct oil filter for this model. There are problems with the oil light coming on. The filter in the car is a FRAM PH4997. The car mysteriously uses about 500 ml of oil every week. It doesn't burn it and there are no leaks. It is my wife's car and she has been toping it up with 20/50. She is hoping to sell it shortly but I want to be sure its OK. If it is the wrong filter and oil could this cause the oil light problems?

Any decent motor factor/dealer will be able to tell you of the correct filter. 20w50? Ooof. Get that crap out of your car asap. It's way to thick and is not for your car! Get a new filter and some decent oil and change it and see if the problem persists.
Oil light comes on when oil pressure drops below certain point - not good. Low oil, incorrect oil, oil blockages can all cause the light to come on.
