Rev counter pick up?

Forum:

I'm about to stick an LPG kit on my YRV 4Trak as I've recently taken it off my wifes old 4x4 (to which I fitted it).

I need to give the lpg ecu a pulse from the rev counter to assist with the mapping, doe anyone know of a simple point that I can pick up such a signal? on the wifes old daewoo korando I was lucky enough to find a diagnostic port under the bonnet that actually had an RPM output.

What about the ODB-II port

What about the ODB-II port found on the left middle of the foot rest peddle on the centre bottom part of the console? The scangauge I have plugged into there picks up RPM from it to display as a gauge if wanted.

I'll look into the obd a bit

I'll look into the obd a bit more, but I believe that puts everything out at once as data, not just the rpm on a voltage pulse or similar.

Fingers crossed you are right though.
