For any confusion the Manual car is green and the Auto is red

Its what all YRV Turbo owners think about...

Best of luck to you guy... what you are doing has probably crossed the mind of every YRV Turbo owner at some point!
Appreciate the record you are posting of your work!

Want to keep updates.

I wish to keep updates, and help in a way, we are a family of motorsporting thanks to my father and his loving Minis and the feeling of manual gear throw means alot to me. with all the respect of auto owners. my yrv somehow is pushing more then 130bhp and came from japan like that. Even cant figure out 15-18 psi at 5,900 rpm and at 6,500 entering the rev limiter, kind of weird or the ecu had been busted or re mapped. As the launch is slow on tree lights in drag racing I wish to have all the potential from start. Last recorded was 15.895 , I think with some polish and good fuel can get the launch and get under 15.5 or less. Even better for some sprints and hillclimg racing the manual could get that bit closer.
If someone done this has problems or I might have problems please post, don`t worry , I won`t keep this on my own. This forum is a Diahatsu bible and helped a lot in few weeks. Wink
All I knew I had a sticker D sport at the back and tought it was like a shoe promotion.

The JDM YRV Turbo is pushing out 140Bhp

In Japan they use 100RON (Octane) petrol and the ECU will be mapped to that octane, I seem to recall when doing some research the Japanese version will be pushing out 140-150Bhp because of this. Be careful if your country does not provide this as your car will hold back due to detination and knocking. A problem Subaru Owners here in the U.K face as the JDM Impreza is mapped to 100 Octane. The best we have here is 99RON but from certain petrol stations. Your best bet is to use Octane booster in with your fuel.
