hi all, i have just been quoted £100 + for a pair of hinges for my sportrak, i realy only want the lower one but thought i might as well replace both until i got the price, does anyone have a sensible solution to the problem, if so i would be very grateful, thanks, paul.

You could always search for one or two in your local scrappies....

2E0PJS Hi Mike, its not completely goosed so iv'e given it a good dosing of oil and put it back,i have also taken the spare off the door and it will now reside behind the rear seat,its surprising what a difference it makes to the hinge, i guess that most of the scrapyard hinges would be in the same boat, just got to cure the dipped h/light fault and its soon off for test,cheers,paul.

What's wronge with the headlidgts? I take it you know that Daihats headlights are wired up backwards (Switched earth).
Any veiws expresed in this thread by me are purely from my own experience, and (sometimes) falible memory. Hope my comments help, but please don't take them as gospel.
dipped h/lights
2E0PJS, hi Nev,when i switch from main to dipped only the dims show for up to 3 seconds then the dipped comes on,swiching back to main and its instant,the only delay is going to dipped so am going to get some contact cleaner this morning and give the switch gear a dose of looking at, cheers,paul.
