Temperature warning light

Forum:

Don't know if I'm in the right forum, I'm new you see.
I recently bought a used 2007 Sirion. When I start the car the temperature warning light comes on telling me the coolant/water temperature is too low. If I run the engine for about 5 mins the light goes out. Is this normal 'cos if it is it's a nuisance!

If I recall when driving the Mark 2 Subaru Justy as a coutesy car (Basically a Mark 2 Sirion), this is the norm, as with most new cars Smile

Worth checking the owners manual on that one... Wink

Temperature warning light

Thanks. I have had a look at the starting the engine instructions and it does not mention this. There is a section about the warning lights which tells you what to do - in this case wait for the light to go out if the water/coolant level is ok

Interestingly the sales guy at the dealership didn't mention it either!

blinking coolant lamp?

I also have problem with green coolant lamp (the one with letter "C")

My problem is that during in the last few days the light starts blinking green during drive. It is really annoying because I have no idea what it could means.

I have checked the coolant fluid level and it is normal, it is in the maximum.
Also Im monitoring my car during drive with Torque through BT OBD2 adapter and the coolant temperature isn't too hot while the lamp starts blinking.
Also I have checked if I could read out any ECU errors but nothing.
I have checked the manual but no information about this behaviour. Anybody knows what this blinking could mean?
