HiJet exhaust

Forum:

Hi
Question about exhaust for 1999 1.3 petrol HiJet.
Lost my back box on a bumpy stretch of road last week, having problems sourcing a replacement as i'm in Ireland where HiJet parts are almost non existant.
I have been offered a new old stock box for a 1.0 petrol, does anyone know if this will fit my 1.3.
Looking forward to hearing from anyone out there.
Thanks

If you can't get one, or the 1.0 one doesn't fit, would a custom made one be of any use? Can't be all that hard to make up and would probably last longer than a standard or blue print one.

Spares do seem to be hard to come by for these little vans

**Edit**

Just seen this one on eBay

As you said spares are very difficult to come by in Ireland as the Hijets were not officially imported for sale here.
The site that I get my sevice parts for my wifes Peugeot had a 1.0 exhaust in their bargain bin, obviously bought into stock in error and now selling for small money, hence my enquiry.
The nearest outlet that will make up an exhaust for me is 170 miles away, I wont be going down that route I think.
I will have to bite the bullet and import from the UK, not for a little while though, as it is my van has a nice meaty rumble when scooting around town.

Hijet exhaust

Finally sorted my exhaust problem.(Thanks Steviel81)
I am driving around today with a new NCT (mot) cert courtsy of an exhaust supplied by
Ebay seller regisexhausts11, £103, delivered within a week, great service.
My project for next week is to replace the coolant, does anybody have any suggestions as to whats the best way to do this as I want to avoid the possibility of airlocks.
I will probably do this in my driveway using axle stands.
Cheers
