Hello ,I have a problem when starting my fourtrak in that diesel is not getting to the engine on some occasions. I have to bleed the fuel system by pumping the fuel through the bleed screw .
It is an intermittent problem , it can happen after its been sat for 1 day or 1 week but then can be perfectly o.k for 2 weeks .
Has anybody got any ideas Is there a non return valve in the fuel line
Thank you jimmer
Repeated bleeding at the blee
Repeated bleeding at the bleed screw on the filter housing may still not do the job. Try this, start the vehicle and undo the fuel supply line to number one injector. Any air in the system between the fuel filter and the injectors should then be pumped out. When the bubbles stop, tighten the fitting again. It has worked for me.

Any ideas as to where/why the air gets in , in the first place
no fuel
may sound simple but check the filler cap
if the air vent is blocked it causes a vacumn and stops flow to motor
