Which rims ?

Forum:

Need to find 16 inch rims to fit fourtrack, heard grand vitara fits, is there any other type that anyone knows of UnknwScratch one-s head

Re: Which Rims?

Grand Vitara 16s should have more negative offset (which looks cool but could mean problems with off-road suspension articulation). If GV 16's fit then so will Ford F100's and some Jeep wheels.

Have a look at: http://www.auto-mechanic.co.uk/wheels.html#DAIH

Basically it identified the PCD and offset. The smaller the offset (eg: -3 as compared to 0) the more the wheels will be outside of the body of the car and the wider track you will have, the larger, the smaller the track. PCD is the distance between opposing bolts (where your lug nuts screw on). So you want something with the same PCD and at least the same offset.

In the offset column there is a range which basically means that there were multiple options provided by the manufacturer.

Hope that helps!

Some of these things were discussed in: http://www.teriosgroup.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=148 which although not directly relevant to your particular case, tries to explain the theory (if you're interested)

Cheers,
Luis
