Sportrak Crankshaft Pulley

Forum:

Hi I am fitting a new radiator to my 86 sportrak and at the same time fitting a new timing belt.

Its all stripped down except I can't get the crankshaft pulley bolt to budge. I read somewhere that by removing the power steering pulley first makes it easier. Am I right in thinking that the 4 small bolts release the power steering pulley if so how do I split the pulleys and then what is the best way to release the crankshaft pulley bolt

Really struggling here so any advice really welcome

Many thanks in advance

Tony

Try this little trick for the crank bolt, fit it with the correct socket, bar/extension, make sure it cant move, then flick the starter key quick- (on off) that acts like an impact gun on the bolt.

Full of ideas but no time to do them!!
