My original '06 Sirion CD player is dead and I'd like to replace the radio unit. The problem is that I not only have to buy a new radio, but also to replace the OEM fascia panel with a generic panel for aftermarket radios.
Local dealers offered me a double-DIN fascia for the equivalent of about (!) 240 GBP. I feel this is outrageous and after searching on eBay I found a store in the UK that sells double-DIN fascias for '08 models and onward:

Does anyone have any idea whether this will fit my car? The seller replied to me promptly by restating that it's "for '08 models and onward".

I always thought the 06 and 08 model sirion interiors were the same. One thing I have noticed on the 08 models (UK Specced ones) is that the front grill has changed slightly so wondering if Daihatsu also made slight alterations to the interior as well.
I take it you dont live in the UK? As the flag under your name shows Israel?

I'm tempted to ask a colleague with an '08 model to take measurements of his fascia and compare to mine. If they match, I might just make the gamble.

Yes, I live in Israel. It's $72 with shipping to buy this part. Certainly more cost-effective than buying new locally.

I also have an '06 Sirion for which no replacement panel exists. By '08 the cars had been facelifted and there is a panel for these cars. If your radio still works, you could just use an FM transmitter and stream mp3s from your phone or mp3 player
Trim plate
I have a Daihatsu Sirion 2005 model. Does anyone know if the Perodua Myvi Fascia trim plate fits this car or what the dimensions of the trim plate are/should be. Also iv only found 2008 "Daihatsu" trim's. Will they fit a 2005 model or did they change the details of the interior?
