Evening all, have an 04 Terios 1.3 sport that the wife uses, unfortunately she must have bionic fingers as she has managed to break the drivers window switch. From closer inspection it seems to be a single unit that serves passenger side also & seems knackered, any idea where I can get another, tried local dealer who qouted telephone numbers for a new one 
Also she has managed to loose the metal square section key ring off the end of the remote key fob....dont ask !!! & I really need another or donor fob that I can change the internals on 
Any help greatly appreciated....cheers in advance

Similar things have been discussed in the not so distant past on here. Happens with the Sirion and YRV cars as well.
Best thing to do is have a look at the connections on the back of the window switches first before looking at a replacement.
As with both requests a simple search on eBay will get you what you need here.
I wish 'Lurch' / Adam the sites owner will soon look into either a sticky section for this club as it would make things a lot simpler for questions like this
that way a sticky on 'How do I fix my window swiches' or 'where can I get a Replacement key fob from without going broke from going to a stealers?' would mean some people's time not being wasted with the same questions.
Not having a go at the thread curator here, but many on here will know where I am coming from

Unfortunately the part that is broken is the rocker link which is part of the actual switch module, the switch itself attaches to that, hence ehy the complete unit is required

Yes, but the entire switch module should just lift out of the door surely? Then when it has been leavened out then you can look at the connector and socket types, and then buy the unit off eBay? If this is different then that's a new one that Daihatsu have done on this model.
Or have I again made the mistake of not reading this correctly?

Alas yes it would appear so....the switch lever itself is independant to the main module & pivots on the module, on our Jeep the module body where it accepts the switch & pivot is cracked allowing the lever to wobble about, hence the requirement for the entire unit

Okay. So now you need to pull
Okay. So now you need to pull the entire module out of the door with the 4 window switches and have a look at the connector on this module. So as an example you may have a 12 pin connector, or even a 12 pin and a 6 pin connectors. You need to know which one you have before buying the correct module.

Well, established which unit is needed 24 hours on find a part, breaker link & 24 7;spares have returned nothing : as so I have widened the search, we have family that live in Thailand, so have emailed several photos out to them & see if anything comes of it

Search ebay not just for
Search ebay not just for window switches but other Terios breakers advertising parts....just cos they don't list a switch doesn't mean they haven't got one. Also try spelling the model wrong like Tirios Terrios etc you wouldn't believe how many spell Daihatsu names wrong....even on here
Regards your key fob, look at a pic iv'e just put in Technical...is yours like that and 2 buttons on the front?

key fob
Hi Dave, certainly looks like that key fob, 2 buttons on front with Daihatsu embossed on back, although mine is missing the sticker showing info...I am missing the metal end that attaches the fob to a key ring
just replaced the battery, when my daughter took it outside to open the car & dropped it loosing the metal ring.
Will definately try misspellng etc, trawled ebay but as yet no luck....bloody shame as these are the only issues we have had with the Terios, a great little Jeep all round, until u need obscure bits !!!

You have a few choices to sort your key fob out.
You can get another (ebay) and as you said swap the inner over or just reprogram it to your car.

Get a Toyota version...think maybe some/all will also program to Daihatsu.
Just get an aftermarket remote set up as suggested in a a post a while back

Drivers door switches are rare and doubt you will pick one up cheap....think we all are looking for a spare if it does haha
All i know is there are 11 and 12 pin plugs, the 11 being a bit more common. Choose carefully
