Hi
Can anyone out there help, my fourtrak has an intermitant starter fault, grinds as if gear is worn when trying to start ,rock the engine in gear and she starts, this is only occasionally ( new starter fitted ). Now if the engine when switched off stops in the same places and one spot is badly worn, when trying to start on that postion will cause problems but elsewhere it will start ok.
Does anyone understand my thinking better still help before having to take engine or gearbox out to replace starter ring gear???
