Change the oil every 3000 mil
Change the oil every 3000 miles and the filter once a year.
This is the recommended Daihatsu service interval. Do it and your engine will last forever

engine oil change
just looked up my owners manual and it says
for severe driving change oil every 1,500 miles
oil filter 1,500
air filter clean every 1,500 replace every 12,000
under normal driving
oil 4,500
oil filter 9,000
air filter clean 6,000
air filter change 24.000
i change mine every 6,000 miles as engine oils have come on a long way since daihatsu braught out thair fourtraks
