Nice spot. Already have lightened pullies on my engine, and can say I think it does make a difference. Smile

Yep, Not a huge difference

Yep, Not a huge difference like a lightened flywheel, but you are doing the same thing...removing some rotational weight off the crankshaft so even a modest reduction should be noticable.

Made enquiries about the

Made enquiries about the Zerone a while ago and told they not that good in quality and can cause vibration. Also the Mythology version which claims to prevent this are expensive. The works Engineering are expensive and more fakes out there than genuine. . . price usually tells the difference although my Malaysian contact said the fakes are just as good and almost impossible to tell the difference?

I really would not worry

I really would not worry about vibration. It won't happen in a light crank pulley to any real extent unless it was really made out of true, which it isn't. I bet there is more inbalance in a heavier and old/partly rusty cast iron pulley.

The only thing you may find with these types is you can get a little more noise, factory pulleys will usually have a rubber damper in them to help reduce crankshaft harmonic shock waves. It would not be loud..more likely hear it in a small garage with walls close rather than outside.

Fakes, who cares. It's anodised aluminium and there is only one or 2 grades used for this type of item. No need for concern, As long as it fits snug on the shaft.
