Hi all I own a 91 sportrak with some off roading mods running 1.6 efi engine I love it to pieces and am fairly happy with my 35 mpg return I get from it but I am wondering if anyone know a simple engine conversion as I feel it lacks power & torque thinking 2 litre lump would bring same sort of economy but with that added grunt not sure what engine to go with though and weather gearbox and transfer box would be an issue???

Originally loved the idea on 3.5 v8 from rover but from reading others posts seems like its not an option

Anyway let me know if anyone has got any ideas
