Forum:
Hi, My Missus just bought a lovely 2003 Daihatsu Terios Tundra, gorgeous condition with only 36000 Miles on the clock.
There's a slight niggling problem though;
When turning the steering wheel sharply when moving off and when car has just started there is sometimes a slight screech noise heard - this is very seldom and then vanishes - I guess it may be the Power Steering belt?
Would this item; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-Genuine-Daihatsu-Terios-Power-Steering-Drive-Belt-88458-87403-000-4PK1440-/130895186249?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item1e79f60949
(Part number 88458-87403-000 4PK1440) what is needed?
It needs a 36000 Mile service (last serviced at 30k in Nov 2011) so may be a good idea to sort this noise problem out too - any thoughts? Advice?
And my other query is - what would a nice tyre recommendation be? The Tundra has 225/55/R17 tyres.
I have been doing some research, and it's either a set of Hankook Ventus ST RH06 at £104 each or more expensive Michelin Latitude Tour HP.
The driving is 99% On-Road (bar some excursions to Brecon and Pembrokeshire) and need as less road noise as is possible, and a nice round amount of traction, grip, easy rolling.
Any other ideas or thoughts?
Thanks again guys.
