Hi again,
I've started to rectify some of the problems with my little rally 2,including 2 seized caliper sliders. Unfortunately I got a bit over zealous and burnt part of the piston dust cover in the process. I also found the last person to fit the sliders put them in the wrong way round on one side.
Anyway back to my question. I'm going to change the gear oil, as the box is a bit crunchy in higher revs. Does anyone know how much oil it takes?
Also is the engine normally a bit tappity, or do I need to change something.
Finally now I've sorted the sliders out my brakes seem to pulsate at slow speeds and vibrate at higher speeds, I thought it could be warped discs, due to the stuck calipers, but nothing seemed obvious when I took them off, any ideas.
I've found a set of coil overs for the sirion if anyone wants some, pricey though

Dial gauge?
When you say 'nothing seemed obvious' did you use a dial gauge to check the disk run-out??

The discs were warped, brakes
The discs were warped, brakes seem OK apart from a slight knocking, but the mechanic has said that is down to the rubber grommet in the slide pin being smaller than the original, causing slight movement.
Anyway sorting the problems out little by little.
Need to change the tyres back to 185's,the last owner had 195's on and they seem to catch slightly.
