Hi there guys. I have been reading alot on this site about how to get the alternator to start charging again. The thing Is I bought a hilux with 2.8 rocky motor and the electric system was soooo far from normal that I had to rewire just about everything. My problem is with the external voltage regulator. I have been reading alot on here about this but I am still having problems. The thing is:
There are 3 wires that connect from the ext. regulator to the alternator. they are still in their original plugs and i assume that they are working correctly. But There is a big white one that runs from the cutout to the battery, AND a thick yellow one. From what I am reading the Yellow one is suposed to be charging light. However it runs close to the battery to the Main relay.. There are 4 wires connected to the relay. One thick white one (from battery, and the thick yellow one from the regulator. What do the other two wires connect to and Must they be connected for the alt to charge? Please if anyone could give me detailed info on how to get this thing to charge before I go crazy
! Best regards from iceland
