Any help with this I have bought a 1998 fourtrak that has stood for 6 months without any fuel in it .. have put fuel in now I have it cracked injectors and tried pumping by hand from manuel fuel filter problem is we don't seem to be getting any fuel coming through we filled the filter manuely and have tried turning the engine over it turns over fine but won't fire even tried dragging it off to bump start but nothing tried bypassing filter too just to see if it will fire up but nope !! Do you think it needs a new fuel pump ?? Any help advice would be greatly appreciated before I start spending cash on it withnew parts ...cheers !

Dont even think about buying any new parts until you have identified what is going on. If you can't get fuel up to the filter , and have to hand fill it, it isnt going to ever get enough into the pump to fire the engine. Thoughts include: Is the primer actually working? unless you can feel resisitance, it might be doing nothing. A bulb type primer can be bought for about a fiver. Is the fuel cut off solenoid stuck shut/ not working? Take it to bits and take the plunger out to check. Is there an air leak in the fuel line? Even a tiny air leak makes bleeding the fuel line almost impossible. Possibilities include corroded steel pipe ( on a Daihatsu, surely not) perished rubber hose, sometimes pipes will perish and leak air in, but not diesel out.
Best of luck, it can be very frustrating, but you will get there in the end, its unlikely to be the pump.

i had a problem with my

i had a problem with my immobilizer after a similar situation.

the indi has a cut off valve on the back of the pump - find the live.... find the neutral.. and run a live to the third terminal to bypass it.

if the pump aint pumping... then its electrical!
