I have a 1989 Sportrak obviously carb model (HD) the exhaust manifold has cracked.... I have had it welded a few years ago but it's cracking again. I have tried to find a manifold for the model (secondhand from breakers) but the only one I found also had cracks!!

My question is: there are plenty of manifolds from later models (HDE) with injection. It appears the manifolds differ but can it be modified? Or am I mistaken and they are compatible?

Anyone had experience of this problem who can give some advise?
