Timing Belt / Timing Chain information

Forum:

I need to find out whether my 2005 Sirion with a K3 VE 1.3L l4 has a timing belt or a timing chain (cambelt or camchain in the antipodes). Quite a few people have asked similar questions on this forum, and many haven't gotten a straight answer. Is there a source of this information that someone can direct me to? And make it easy to read for future info-seekers?

Regards all,

OC

Not got a straight answer! Seriously!?

The K3 series engine all have a Cam Chain. So that's the K3-VE, K3-VE2 and K3-VET (found on the YRV Turbo).
As for information about this. These are in the Technical manuals which a lot of members on here have bought at £10.
