the car has always used a lot of oil. so Back in January had a oil change, when i had it back there was a slight change in the noise of the car, only slight,but i could tell there was something,but nobody else could feel the change.so didn't think any more of it.

Lead up to the breakdown in april , the car was rumbling/ shaking a bit, It then lost power on the way home and stalling when slowing down in speed, causing a misfiring,

found out one of the ignition coils was broken, thought this would fix it,but there was more problems further down as the car was still not running properly.turns out the cylinder compression was down on the same cylinder where the ignition coil broke to about 7 not 100 like the others.

so took it to another garage who took the head of the engine and found out one of the engine values had broken and there was a build up of carbon to cause the engine to not run properly(understandable.
Decided to replace all values and the inner casing bit, while the mechanic was down their as its a big job, he did a good job. they said the pistons were fine.

The car still has a slight rumbling when the engine is running and still uses a lot of oil. has only just reach 90.000 miles

just wanted to know as it never made a rumbling sound before it had a oli changed, it was fine, cannot help,but wonder if this is all linked to the oil change.

just want to know while it uses so much oil and a rumbling noise and advice / feedback will be great
