Hi all, im still trying to sort out my wiring probs on my fourtrak. I have had to rewire the side light circuit as theres a short on the original wiring that i just cant find. So what ive done is wire the sidelights to a seperate switch, cutting the feed at the back of the 15A tail fuse and using the fuse to protect the new circuit. This is great as i have front sides and my tail lights work now without blowing the fuse. However it appears that the foglight and all dash illumination lights are fed through the old circuit and i have no Idea which pin on the back of the dash provides the feed for the dash lights, or where the earth for this circuit is. Ive false fed the pins on the back of the dash but couldnt get the dash lights to light, the warning lights (fuel drain etc) all work but i have none of the voltmeter illumination, heater illumination etc. I even false fed the lamp for the voltmeter directly, but it didnt light, so im thinking i have a broken earth wire, but as i said i have no idea which is the shared earth for this circuit and im really confused as to how im going to get it to work. Ive looked through the wiring diagrams in the manual but im not to good at figuring them out as it seems my wirings a different colour from the manual Ive got to get it fixed as dark nights are drawing in and i just cant see the speedo etc if its dark, i dont have the cash either to take it in to an auto electricians plus i like to fix things myself (lol I fitted my new turbo)if anyone can tell me how to feed the illumination circuit i would be very grateful
