Recently bought a Fourtrak independent TDX and as purchased the speedo is not working. I disconnected the cable at the gearbox and spun it with a electric drill nothing, dismantled the clocks and found cable not connected, connected cable spun with drill nothing, tried again with drill running anti clockwise and speedo moves. I put the whole lot back together and still not working so am assuming the drive gear at the gearbox is chewed. Been on the net and can find no supplier of the gear Does anyone know where I can get hold of this part please?
Also I noticed while playing with the speedo cable that on the gearbox just up front of where the speedo cable is there is a two wire electrical plug that has been unplugged, Im guessing it has been unplugged deliberately maybe was shorting does anyone know what this? I had a quick look in my manual and cant see it on the drawing?
