Hiya, I have a 1989 Daihatsu Mira LS 4spd, gear shifter is really sloppy, the bushings look a little worn on the gearbox side, cable looks ok, hard to tell

Just wanted to know, are the bushes press fit? it looks like a big ring on the end of the cables, with a rubber bushing inside the ring with two large washers either side, secured with a split pin, Don't want to remove em till I have a replacement option

as I can't find new bushes, wondering if its press fit or if the bushes are retained by the washers, if the latter, I could probably make some new ones out of suspension bushes.

also does anyone know if the cables can be adjusted, wondering if thats an option to tighten up the gear shifter.
