hi all i have a 1997 daihatsu terios 4x4 (off road toy)
i got stuck off road after clutch went got it towed to a garage for repair and they have lost the key
i have had new key made but will not start as immobiliser is stuck on (no chip in new key)
i cannot find a ecu anywere and noone can recode mine so it will start again
i have even been to dealer who have emailed japan and they have said there is no key code for this model you just used and ds2 code machine
but cannot find 1 anywere or the software
anyone got away around removing immobilser or got a ecu with key for sale for mk 1 
I take it you haven't tried EBay?
Quick search brought this item up for sale for a Terios ECU, immobiliser and key set for £50.

iv hae also done same quick search and found around 15 ecu set and i hae 3 here in my hand and none are the same as my car
mine is the very first one and does not have the separate imobilsor box and relay
it is built into the ecu
