Hi,needing some help. I have a 2001 cuore. When the car warms up the idle sits about 800 rpm but the whole car is vibrating badly. I have cleaned all throttle body sensors etc, changed engine mounts and still no change. The vibrations are so bad the bolt exhaust bolts keeping coming loose. I unplugged sensors one at a time ,all showed an engine light except 02 sensor. O2 sensor didn't cause the engine light to come. Could this be the reason for vibrations. At my wits end and on a tight budget. Many thanks.

I had what sounds like a similar problem on an old Orion I used to have. Like you, I changed all the engine mounts to no avail! Then one day there was a nasty bang and the clutch pedal went to the floor. Turns out that all the lower bellhousing bolts were either loose or missing, just one tight one at the top! Eventually the bracket holding the starter motor snapped (the nasty bang!). So the vibrations must have been where the engine and gearbox weren't aligned. Unlikely to be your problem, but worth a look.
