I have just purchased above said vehicle that appears to be in good order and has lots of history, however just wondered if there is anything I should keep an eye on problem wise with them? Also what is the best multi-purpose tyre to run? What fuel economy should I exspect (honestly!!!)?? And finally can anyone reccommend best insurance company??

theres not relly not any thing to look out for relly if you keep it serviced regually. personly i would put BFG grip edge standed size (215/75/15) or genaral graber a/p in the same size. my 2.8 tdi does 28/33 mpg (on avrage). the best insurance company i know is the national farmers union ( www.nfu.co.uk ) hope this :help:'s

yup ..... I agree with that
...... especially the bit about NFU mutual insurance in Coventry.
I was with Churchill, but I think they sound good in the TV ads but aren't as good in practice.
NFU are cheaper by about 10% and don't mind if you have 3 points on your licence for minor offences (like getting photographed with your boot a bit too heavy on the loud pedal)
