Perodua...Malaysian Daihatsu.

Hi all.

Someone out there must know what type of Daihatsu the Perodua Nippa EX is compatable with for parts and information?

Especially interesed in how the imobiliser works, with special reference to getting keys made. Could really do with a plain (Non chip) key for the doors.

Any info welcome.

I think Perodua Nippa is the Daihatsu Mira. The imobiliser works from the ignition keys. The ignition key has a transponder that is programed to turn off the imobiliser every time you start the engine. I bought some spare ignition keys for a Daihatsu Move They charged me 1/2 hour labour to program the key's transponder to the engine imobiliser, cost £95. Plain door keys cost me £35 x 2.
