Feroza running hot

Forum:

Hello, thank you for accepting me to this forum.

I was reading through the posts and find out alot of people have problems with engine running hot or overheating. None of them was similar to my problem.

I have 1994 Feroza 1.6 16v and i have problem with my engine running hot. It runns OK on normal roads, the problem starts when driving uphill or in the woods in 4x4 low gear, temp gauge starts to raise towards H mark. I can idle the engine for hours and the gauge wont raise past half.

It never boiled watter or throw it in overflow tank.

My first thought was thermostate so i removed it, second thing new radiator cap, i removed radiator and sent it to radiator expert to clean it.
Althougt the radiator does not look perfect.

Before installing it i ran watter through cooling system. Watter was clean. We did a compression test and all 4 cilinder were OK.

Watter is flowing, heating is working.

I doubt the sensor has failed because the engine is hot, there is some preassure in hoses but i guess this is normal. With heat there comes the preassure.

I was running the engine without radiator cap, squeeizing hoses for at least an hours. I dont think there is air in my sistem.

I am kinda stuck here and dont know what else to check. I think i will buy new radiator. What do you think? Any help will be appreciated.

Best regards from Slovenia

I have measured the temp of radiator today. on the left side the temp was artound 70°C and on the right side 30°C. That is a bit too much of a difference, right?

On the motor side near fan, the radiator was completely cold, left side 60°C+
