just removed the gransfer box gear stick to top up with oil, so i put it in neutral removed it and the put in back in and it wount shift out of neutral now. any help would be grapely appreciated

Remove it again, and try agai
Remove it again, and try again. Make sure you dont move any of the selectors inside the box while the stick is out. Try to get it to shift out of neutral before you replace the circlip.
Out of curiosity, why remove the stick to top up the oil. Its got to be easier to check and fill using the filler plug.
