K&N Induction - Sportrak

Forum:

I have just fitted the K&N filter No. R1380 to my 94 Sportrak Elxi and it was well worth it. I had to make a small bracket out of 25mm wide mild steel strip 3mm thick.
I drilled two holes 45mm apart, one was 6.6mm the other 8.5mm.I sprayed the bracket matt black. The bracket fitted onto a spare lug found on the body with a M8 bolt.Would recomend this mod to anyone looking for a cleaner look in the engine bay. A very easy job to do. I used mail order through eval(unescape('%64%6f%63%75%6d%65%6e%74%2e%77%72%69%74%65%28%27%3c%61%20%68%72%65%66%3d%22%6d%61%69%6c%74%6f%3a%73%61%6c%65%73%40%66%69%6c%74%65%72%70%6f%77%65%72%2e%63%6f%2e%75%6b%22%3e%73%61%6c%65%73%40%66%69%6c%74%65%72%70%6f%77%65%72%2e%63%6f%2e%75%6b%3c%2f%61%3e%27%29%3b')) they were very quick and the total cost was £37.49

K&N Filter

I also have one these K&N filters fitted. The fuel usage is about the same but there it a noticeable improvement in the performance, the engine breaths better.
