I'm hoping I can get some help here, as I'm at a bit of a loss to know what to do. I bought a used Land Rover 90 with a Daihatsu diesel engine fitted. This all seemed fine, but I've had the vehicle overhauled (which has taken more than a year! Grrr...), and now that it's just about ready, the water pump has seized up.
The garage reckon that the engine I have is a DL50/55 (which, if I'm not mistaken is a 2.8L engine - I bought it believing it was a 2.5L engine - maybe it's a DG?).
So, I desperately need a new water pump, but don't have much information to go on. Apparently it's a 3-outlet pump (2 one side, 1 opposite), with 4-bolt fixing. I don't know how specific the water-pumps are, whether there are different versions for each engine revision, or what).
I'd really appreciate some advice from anyone that knows anything about these things (and I'm sorry if I have offended anyone's sensibilities by posting a question about a Land Rover! - I have noticed other transplanted Land Rover questions on this site!), or even better if anyone knows what it is I need, and knows where I can get one.
Many thanks in advance for any help,
