My sportrak has always started fine - until a couple of days ago that is. Now although the engine turnsover fine, it will only fire a tiny bit, followed by more turnover with no more firing at all. If I leave for a while, and then just turn the key quickly (i.e. for a short burst) it will almost fire up.

On the one occassion I got it going, tickover was 200 or 300 hundred revs down at about 500rpm.

Any ideas much appreciated

P.s Just had it MOT'd. Could somethin have happened then?
