Recently bought an 89 SWB 2.0 soft top Fourtrak which seems in generally good condition - however the rear leaf springs appear as though the bottom leaves have slipped - the spacing is different on either side - if I get a chance I'll try to link to some pictures. My question is does this sound like a problem or well known phenomina?
It passed its MOT and doesn't seem as though the handling is affected although having never driven any other example I probably wouldn't be able to judge!Any help appreciated.

springs
are you talking about, front to rear of the spring or lefthand to righthand. Both springs should the same. (lefthand/righthand), but are differnt/biased front to rear, (just fitted new springs and shocks all round today)( come on boys help me here). My original factory fitted springs had one leaf rearward facing, that was not clamped to the spring assembly. Truck is a 90/91 diesel 2.8 TDX
