Charade G100 wheels, offsets, and sizes

Forum:

Hi there. I just bought a 1 litre G100 for a money saver while I'm building up a gas guzling drag car, but the steel wheels have got to go!

Whats the offset of the G100 factory wheels?
Are there any wheels that drop in nice that don't cost too much? (please mention size and offset)

I was hoping to put on 15" rims with 195x45R15 tires, as I think anything bigger would just look weird on such a little car, but what sort of width will fit with what offsets?

Thanks heaps
Carl

G100 Wheel size.

Hi Carl,
15" Alloys with 195x45 tyres are best.
If you use a 6.5j rim you will not have to cut/roll the rear arch lip.
With a 6.5j rim you must have a 45mm offset or the tyre will rub the shocker tube.
Also watch for tyre that have the rim protector bar, the walls stick out further to protect the Alloy rim but may rub the rear arch or shocker.
If you fit 7j rims you will have to alter the offset to one that may affect the handling, as well as messing with the arches.
This question has been asked before, the most recent being about 10 below yours. Have a look, there is some good advice from Allan B.

Dave.
