Check the

Check the following:
Condition of spark plugs, condition of HT leads, condition of dizzy cap and rotor arm, ignition timing, ignition coil output.
If all these are satisfactory then it points to a fuelling problem. Let us know how you go.

Stone.

All appear ok There does not

All appear ok There does not appear to be a fuel prob either Problem is intermiitent noew it goes ok for days then will kick up Do Toyot parts fit this

No toyota parts will fit on

No toyota parts will fit on the Daihatsu engine. The electrical parts are mostly nippendenso, which may be similar to other cars. But I haven't found anything yet that is similar between the rocky and anything else.

As for your problem.....if everything else checks out, you might have a sticking EGR valve or a bad ignition control module.

Just curious, what country do you live in?

re ignition problems

Hi i had a cavalier once that had the same problem ,it took me ages to work out what it was ,it tuned out to be the coil ,it would start but 10-15 mins later when it warmed up there must have been a break in one of the primary windings and when hot it expanded and broke the circuit.hope this helped.
