The metal cylinder that you slot the cigarette lighter into has come away from the dashboard in my Sportrak. It's awkward to get at through the little hole and I can't work out how to fix it back in without taking the whole dashboard off. Does anyone know if there is an easy way to fix this?

First disconnect the battery otherwise there are going to be sparks flying everywhere. Remove the radio, this now gives you access to the back of the lighter. There are two wires and a screw collar floating about where your lighter used to be. Insert lighter through dash making sure the cutouts line up and screw the collar on from behind finally attach the wires to the connectors. This is extremely fiddly but it saves removing the dash.
