Disgarded catalyst only done 70K miles and looks in good condition. Since down pipe had a hole, took the opportunity to disgard the cat.

Added Preg Sporty catalyst!!
My P-reg sporty had been de-catted by the previous owner, and as a result was way-over on the MOT emmissions test, and failed the MOT just before xmas.. I returned the car to original spec, at a cost of £140 for the a brand-new cat, and all is good again, and we are on the road.
So, a word of warning, if your sporty is post 1993-ish, then the cat must be retained in order to be road legal. (The sporty engine will not be within emissions regs without one).
