Hi My Hijet has had a new radiator, the head gasket has been tested and it is ok, the thermostate has been removed and it is still losing water, the small rubber stopper on the air bleeding tube at the top of the radiator has a hole in it and I have been told by my local dealer that I will need to buy a new radiator to replace this tiny rubber part, they could not find it on their system. Can anyone help please?

Hi there..I have a 998 - 1997 Hijet....just had a new Rad and the engine has been completely sorted by a highly regarded Dakar Rally mechanic.....so.....firstly..that rubber cap isn't part of the rad (on the 3 cyl models anyway) and the company 'The Parts Gateway' will be able to locate one for you.....the bleeding of all air from the cooling system is vital.
