hi

i guess it all depends if you have to remove the freewheeling hubs first or do the discs slip over the top of them

if it is the latter once the wheel is removed, remove brake pads, behind the caliper carrier there should be two bolts holding it on to the stubaxel (these can be a pain to undo as they are held on by stud n bearing glue and it is unlikey that they have been off before) undo these the caliper carrier will wiggle free cable tie it to something so that the flexihose isnt stretched. then undo the two star screws that hold the discs on (you may need and impact driver to remove them)disc is now free refitting is the same but inreverse remembering to clean the disks with a bit of meths before refitting as they have a oil based glue on them to stop them rusting in transit reglue the caliper carrier retaining bolts before refitting retighten the brake caliper carrier to the hub to 69-88 Nm minimum thickness on solid discs is 11.5mm and on ventilated discs 17mm

it aint as bad as it sounds should be able to do both sides in about 2 3/4 hours

not sure about the hubs as havent had to do that yet but best of luck

Are you sure about that? I

Are you sure about that? I ask becouse on the earlier modles the disk was bolted to the rear of the hub. Requiring the whole thing to be dismantled to get it off. Is this not the same on the later modles? On most cars the disk just goes over the studs, with a couple of retaining screws. But not all.
If I'm right (and having a good look with thw wheel off will show if I am) then you will need to:
Remove the break caliper as antraxx69 said.
Remove the end cap of the free wheeling hub (FWH). 6 small bolts. Have the FWH in 'free' position for this, or you'll probably get the thing stuck and end up witht he spring inside falling out of it's housing. Not a majour problem, but fidilly to get back together.
Remove the circlip around the end of the half shaft inside the FWH.
Unbolt the FWH body. 6 medium size bolts.
Remove the big nut from inside the hub (behind the removed FWH). You'll need to bend the locking washer away from the nut first.
Remove the locking washer.
Remove the second large nut.
Slid the whole hub asembly off the stub axle.
Lay the hub face down and unbolt the break disk from the rear of it.
Then do the whole lot in reverse.
A tip for getting the tention on the wheel barings about right when you put the hub asembly back on. Tighten the first nut up as much as you can, then back it off one flat (sixth of a turn).
To get the circlip back on the end of the half shaft, inside the FWH body, use a bolt in the threaded hole in the end of the shaft to get perchas on it. Otherwise it tends to go hide inside the FWH body, so you can't get the circlip on it.
The end of the FWH will only fit back into the FWH body in 3 positions. Only one of these alowes the bolt holes tpo line up.

Could be totaly wronge.

Any veiws expresed in this thread by me are purely from my own experience, and (sometimes) falible memory. Hope my comments help, but please don't take them as gospel.

hi

sorry you are indeed correct to change the front brake caliper and carrier do as i first said but to change the disk you have to go through the hub removal as listed above (seems as if my autodata disk has got it wrong) on checking again with my fourtrak manual under front axel and suspension unit shows
1 remove wheel
2 remove the brake mounting
3 remove hub cab and snap ring
4 remove hex bolts
5 detach hub cover
SOD THIS !!!!!!
i will email you the pdf pages i have
