Hello, Ancestors! Just signed up for your forum today! I'm an American in California (of Welsh/English descent...been to London and Cambridgeshire recently...BEAUTIFUL!) who bought a 1991 Daihatsu Rocky a few months back from my (ironically) ENGLISH mechanic here in San Diego. GREAT VEHICLE!! I've had a couple of glitches with the alternator...been through 2 in 3 months...but I think I have that straightened out after buying both a new Bosch re-build and a new battery simultaneously. If that gives me problems again, I will ask for help and relay it to my mechanic (former owner) because he is clueless about what it could be. Anyway, my current problem is that it seems every time I wash my Rocky, the CHECK ENGINE light flashes! I noticed that it flashes exactly 11 times, pauses, then flashes 11 times again, ad nauseum. I've searched the forums and found tidbits of info, something about shorting the plug or something, but was looking for a little more info. Can anyone help? Thanks so much!!
