please help!!!!
iv recently bought a sportrak got it home, came 2 drive it and it wont start.
it turns over and when starts to fire theres a bang and it stops.
i finally got it running earlier today but it was missing like mad
can anyone help me because i haven't got a clue

Contact the place you bought it and complain.
Finding the fault could prove very difficult if 'you haven't got a clue'. There are just too many points to check unless you are a diy mechanic.
Could be fuel problem, distributor,rotor arm,contact breaker, ignition timing, HT leads, carb ..... and onwards. Recruit a friendly diy mechanic.

I agree with Mace it could be all kinds of things and depends on whether it is normally aspirated eg Carb or Injection. The car has a diagnostic plug assuming it is the later and a garage kitted out correctly should be able to locete the problem from doing a diagnostc test via the ECU. Fiddling could worsten the problem. Back firing sometimes points to timing problems but having just bought the vehicle take it back as Mace suggests. Even privately you are covered by the Sale of Goods Act.
