Hi fellow Hi-jetters,
Could I ask your advice regarding changing cambelts please.....we've just bought a 1995 (M Reg) 1.2 Diesel Hi Jet Camper with 38000 miles on the clock and it says in the handbook that the cam belt should be changed every 64000 miles but it does not mention anything about a time period like other vehicles we've had in the past i.e. 64000 miles or 5 years which ever is the sooner. Can I take it that the cambelt can be left until the mileage reaches 64000 or would I have to change it now as one has never been fitted (according to the service history that I got with the van) from new which is 11 years ago? I would welcome your advice on this please. Thank you and regards.
