Gearbox lost second gear so changed whole gearbox - before looking on this sight to find all we probably needed to do was tighten a bolt. Now that new gear box is in I can only get 5th gear and when in neutral i get reverse gear! The gear box was slightly different but I changed transfer box and selector forks from original gearbox. I have found a small 10mm roller pin after completing job - don't know if it has come from the gearbox. Does anybody know where this pin might go or have any other advice?

Hmm..sounds to me like you are going to have to drop the box again to sort it out...what was different about the new box
Maybe refitting the original box with a new main shaft nut is the answer...

If memory serves, there are a couple of roll pins that locate selector forks on rods. If you only have 5th and reverse, sounds like the rod is moving, without the forks going with them. Sounds like a drop it again job to me.
