well ive got a 1988 forutrak and got it only a few days ago and was out in it last night and the revs werentr picking up properly the turbo was spooling but then it got worse and would only rev up to 2k and had to get home on tick over just wondering if anyone knows any problems it could be the engine has had all new filters and a service before i bought it and new glow plugs any help would be gratfull thanks in advance , nathan

Sound like the fuel filter has been bunged up with a load of clag.
I'll bet it its something to do with the age of the vehicle and water/rust in the fuel tank.
The only way around this is to drop the filter and check for crud, clean out the whole fuel system, replace the filter and refill with clean diesel.

And then make absolutely sure the fuel system has been bled of ALL air. Very common for them to run rough or poorly after a fuel filter changem as the air can be a bugger to get out.

i think it might be the
i think it might be the temperatur sensor as i pulled the plug off of it and it ran fine for about 100 miles then starting playing up again so will fit a new sensor and see if still having same problem
