Hi There
Can anybody out there tell me which
model and years of manufacture this vehicle is it has round headlamps and
the rear diff is offset in line with
the front diff
if you can help thank you in advance

There should be a silver

There should be a silver sticker at the top of the bulkhead, inside the engine bay, above the pasenger footwell. This should have a number on it, with an F in the middle somewhere. The F and the two digets after it are the modle type. F70 for instance is the 2.8 Diesel Short Wheel Base.

Any veiws expresed in this thread by me are purely from my own experience, and (sometimes) falible memory. Hope my comments help, but please don't take them as gospel.

what year is it the, f75 ran from 1984 onwards i had a 2ltr petrol with round h/l on an e plate

The 2 ltr petrol was the

The 2 ltr petrol was the F80, or 85 depending on wheel base. The 2.8 Diesel is an F70 (SWB), or an F75 (LWB). The easiest wat to tell the diffrence between wheel bases is, the LWB has a 'plastic' rear roof. The SWB does not.
The earlier modles (that look like a corigated postman pat van) where the F50/55 (2.5 Diesel) and the F20/25 (1.6 petrol).
There was an F60/65, which was an F50/55 with a 2.8 diesel in it.
The later (Indipendent) modle, with the wide flary wheelarches are the F73/F78's.

Hi There
I have a 1988 fourtrack but the model i am asking about
that i have bought for spares is identical but for the round headlamps and the rear axle is the same as the front axle with the diff offset
i hope somebody has come across one of these and can enlighten me as to what i have bought
cheers grandad

The round or square

The round or square headlamps are just a cosmetic change, and means very little. The diffent rear axle has me stumped. I'm fairly sure all 4trak rear axles have an offset diff. In line with the front diff. Has someone changed the axels, posibly transfure box in you original car? Suzuki axles have a center diff on the back axle, and Daihatsu wheels would still bolt straight on. Must admit I don't know why some one would do that.
Is the propshaft 'straight' on your original car? By straight I mean in line with the car. Or does it come out of the trasfure, and go off at an agle to get to the diff?
Both diffs, both prop shafts & the transfure box should be in a straight line.

Hi There
i think nev.k may have a reasonable answer
i will follow that line of thought but the
diffs transfer box and propshafts all run
strait in line with the both vehicles
thanks for your answers
